All musical works have a beginning and an inevitable end. However, music does not confine the audience in a way that movies or graphic art does. A listener can create whatever image he wants to while listening to music. Music is an art that appeals to the conscious mind, but the best thing about music happens to be the fact that it appeals to the sub-conscious mind as well. No thought is required to enjoy good music, though it happens to be thought inspiring.

Now, music is something regarding which, every single person is bound to have different opinions. Rap and rock music two very important types of music in the world. They both send out different messages. The lyrics which are written and sung by rappers are in many ways related to the events and happenings which are going on in the personal lives of the musicians. Music can also serve as a catalyst for new ideas to emerge. When people listen to  new forms of music, they tend to learn new things and become open-minded because they get exposed to different artists and musicians.

A lot of people believe that rap music has a very big impact on the world. Lyrics used by rappers mostly revolve around drugs, alcoholism and commodification of women. These are the topics many parents don’t want their kids being involved in. Many of the music videos created by rappers showcase and rather glorify sensitive topics like sex, drugs and alcoholism. Well, if we look at music through a critical perspective then we’ll realize that people use music to express themselves, in ways it can’t be expressed through behaviour or art.
